BBQ Chicken Flatbread Recipe

This recipe provides instructions for making a quick BBQ chicken flatbread using pre-made flatbreads or naan.

Ingredients
  

For the Flatbread
  • 2 pre-made naan or flatbreads About 6-8 inches each
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Your favorite kind
  • 1 cup cooked chicken Shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion Thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro Chopped

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet.
  2. Spread the BBQ sauce evenly over the surface of each flatbread, leaving a small border for the crust.
  3. Distribute the cooked chicken over the sauce on both flatbreads.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and sliced red onion over the chicken layer.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the flatbread are lightly browned.
  6. Remove the flatbreads from the oven. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro before slicing and serving immediately.

Notes

If you prefer a crispier crust, you can bake the flatbreads plain for 3 minutes before adding the toppings.
