Servings: 4 people
Course: Dinner

Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
For Assembly
  • 12 Small corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cup Chopped white onion
  • 1/2 cup Chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime Cut into wedges

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6 to 8 minutes. Break up larger pieces as they cook.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas. You can do this in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side, or wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for 30 seconds.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked chicken onto the warm tortillas.
  5. Top each taco with chopped white onion and cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately with lime wedges to squeeze over the top.

Notes

You can add your preferred salsa or hot sauce when serving.
